An anti-Zoo poster designed as a project at college for the London Zoo. The process involved the sketch of people, a cutout of the cage and type and then photography. Intended to place the viewer inside the cage with all the curious eyes watching. • Μία αφίσα κατά των ζωολογικών κήπων / πάρκων, σχεδιασμένη για το London Zoo, στο πολυτεχνείο. Η διαδικασία σχεδιασμού ήταν το σκίτσο των ανθρώπων, κοπτικό του κλουβιού και των γραμμάτων και τέλος φωτογράφηση. Σχεδιασμένη έτσι ώστε να τοποθετεί τον θεατή μέσα στο κλουβί με τα περίεργα βλέμματα να τον επεξεργάζονται.

Thank you, my friend. Yes, that was my aim. When we were assigned that project, in one of my visits to the zoo, I noticed a chimpanzee in a cage. As I came nearer, she drew a large hemp cloth over her and took a banana to eat, annoyed by the prying eyes. I felt really horrible and that’s when it really hit me. Mind you, even as a kid I didn’t like seeing animals in cages but this was a punch in the stomach. So, I decided, rather than designing a poster for the zoo, designing one against it. 😉

I hate zoos!
Animal prisons… animal sideshows for humans.
At least wildlife preserves are better. Of course we should have had respect all along. Now, we need to save so many species.
