Designing a newspaper is one of the most challenging works for a designer. A newspaper is a ‘living organism’, constantly changing and evolving, so a design has to be flexible and ready to accommodate in the best possible way every information. Hence the most crucial part of the newspaper design is the grid and the multi-column layout. This particular newspaper was designed from scratch, from the logo, to its structure, headlines & excerpts, navigation, sidebars, space for advertisement… everything! Last and most crucial challenge for a newspaper designer, is to make the life of the editors and graphic designers, as easy as possible when placing news on the grid. An efficient autopilot, so to speak! We hope we achieved that. • Ο σχεδιασμός μιας εφημερίδας είναι ένα από τα πιο απαιτητικά έργα για έναν σχεδιαστή. Μια εφημερίδα είναι ένας ζωντανός οργανισμός, που αλλάζει και εξελίσσεται συνεχώς, οπότε ένα σχέδιο πρέπει να είναι ευέλικτο και έτοιμο να φιλοξενήσει με τον καλύτερο δυνατό τρόπο κάθε πληροφορία. Ως εκ τούτου, το πιο σημαντικό μέρος του σχεδιασμού της εφημερίδας είναι το grid. Η συγκεκριμένη εφημερίδα σχεδιάστηκε από την αρχή, από το λογότυπο, μέχρι τη δομή της, τους τίτλους, τις βινιέτες, ένθετα, χώρο για διαφημίσεις… τα πάντα! Τελευταία και πιο κρίσιμη πρόκληση για έναν σχεδιαστή εφημερίδων, είναι να κάνει τη ζωή των συντακτών και των γραφιστών, όσο το δυνατόν πιο εύκολη, έχοντας ένα πλήρη μπούσουλα για την εφαρμογή των ειδήσεων στον σχεδιασμό. Έναν αποτελεσματικό αυτόματο πιλότο, δηλαδή. Ελπίζουμε οτι το πετύχαμε.
