One more from the series of sketches I call “collateral …acquisitions”, as they were usually produced while speaking on the phone, or thinking of ideas for a client, or while waiting for the next newspaper article for the daily cartoon…

How often do we feel like this in the face of politicos? How things never seem to change.

Right?! Always the same, they just get smarter in our manipulation. 😉

Wow, doesn’t this say a lot? So as a collateral acquisition, is this more of a really good doodle? Rather than an intentional sketch? It’s great!

Some were rough ideas for a drawing / cartoon, others were just doodlings…
So glad you like them, my dear Lauren!

Are you familiar with the concepts of low and high context cultures?

I mentioned it because I’m from a low context culture, Western United States, but now live in one of the highest context cultures on earth, South Korea.

The experience, very much like the flick you drew above, really made me appreciate how much secret handshakes, knowing the right people and intuiting the proper social roles is. Emotional intelligence is SOOOO important.

Ah, yes it is. Seems that Greece is too. I will forward your words to my father who drew this.
