Brochure / Catalogue for my painting exhibition at Epohes Gallery, in 1999. The title of the exhibition was “Characters”. The paintings were mainly portrait abstracts, expressive faces, characters. This exhibition was [and is] dedicated to painter & friend, Pavlos Moshides. It’s remarkable how long a job can take when the client is yourself. Most difficult client I’ve ever had! • Κατάλογος μπροσούρα για την έκθεση ζωγραφικής μου στην Αίθουσα Τέχνης Εποχές, το 1999. Ο τίτλος της έκθεσης ήταν “Χαρακτήρες”. Τα έργα ήταν κυρίως αφηρημένα πορτραίτα, εκφράσεις προσώπων, χαρακτήρες. Η έκθεσή μου αυτή ήταν [και είναι] αφιερωμένη στον Παύλο Μοσχίδη, ζωγράφο και φίλο. Είναι αξιοπερίεργο πόσο χρόνο χρειάζεται μία δουλειά στην οποία πελάτης είσαι ο ίδιος. Ο χειρότερος πελάτης που είχα ποτέ!

That is a fantastic brochure. The descriptions on the angles look really good. Yourself is often the worst client. The artwork is superb. I’m sure the show was a great success.

Ah, thank you, my friend! So glad you noticed them. Tough client aside, it was fun designing it. Considering it was my first solo painting exhibition, it went very well with almost 90% of my paintings sold. Also, with the painter’s god preventing my ‘favorites’ from being sold. Something the gallery owner told me: “There is a god of painters who will keep the painter’s favorires from being sold. I’ve seen this happen time and time again”.
