Book design for “Arbor Mirabilis The Bible of 2000”. In order to create an effect of old, the symbols and title were actually etched / burned on wood, which was treated with various methods to create a decayed look. • Σχεδιασμός εξωφύλλου του “Arbor Mirabilis Η Βίβλος του 2000”. Για να δημιουργηθεί η αίσθηση του παλιού, ο τίτλος και τα σύμβολα έχουν χαρακτεί σε ξύλο με πυρογραφία, το οποίο με τη σειρά του έχει υποστεί διάφορες επεξεργασίες για να μοιάζει παλιό.

It’s beautiful. Very effective on making it look old. When I built furniture many years ago, clients often wanted us to make the furniture we made look old. We had a chain with nuts and bolts on it we would beat the furniture with and then burn it a little before applying the finish. We called it “the distressed look”.
